About Our Hearing Center
Founded in 1998, Hearing Things, Inc. has been owned by David E. Krause, M.D., Otolaryngologist, and operated by Patricia J. Croix, MA, CCC-A, Audiologist.
Dr. Krause earned his medical degree at University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his residency at University of Illinois Hospital and Clinic. Dr. Krause specializes in Otolaryngology (ears, nose and throat) and is a member of Kankakee Medical Society, Illinois Association of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society and the American College of Surgeons.
Patricia Croix, Audiologist, earned her Masters of Art degree in Audiology from Northern Illinois University. She is a member of Academy of Doctoral Audiologist, a fellow of American Academy of Audiology, American Speech and Hearing Association, Illinois Academy of Audiology and the Illinois Speech and Hearing Association.
Dr. Krause and Patricia Croix have been Hearing Healthcare teammates since 1983.
Hearing Things, Inc., is an independent diagnostic audiology clinic in the Kankakee River Valley. We offer professional services including audiometric testing and hearing aid fitting and repair. Assisted Listening devices are also available to help you hear better with television, on the phone, in meetings and church.
Patients are treated as family and we pride ourselves in creating unique solutions to achieve the goal of improved quality of life through better hearing.
Patricia Croix has been fitting hearing aids for over 30 years.
